Kill/death ratio (KD) is the single most-watched statistic in competitive gaming. Whether you grind BGMI seasons, push Warzone lobbies, climb CS2 Premier, or hold sites in Rainbow Six Siege, your KD ratio tells you — at a glance — whether you win more gunfights than you lose.
How to Calculate KD Ratio
The core formula is simple: KD = Kills ÷ Deaths. If you score 150 kills and die 75 times across a session, your KD is 150 ÷ 75 = 2.0. When deaths are zero, zero is treated as 1 so the ratio stays finite.
The calculator also handles KDA ratio: KDA = (Kills + Assists) ÷ Deaths.

What is a KD ratio and how is it calculated?
KD ratio (kill/death ratio) is the number of kills you score divided by the number of times you die. The formula is KD = Kills ÷ Deaths. If you have 100 kills and 50 deaths, your KD is 2.0. When deaths are zero — for example a chicken dinner in BGMI — the convention is to treat deaths as 1 so the ratio stays finite, which is exactly what this calculator does.
What is the difference between KD and KDA?
KD counts only kills divided by deaths. KDA folds assists into the numerator: KDA = (Kills + Assists) ÷ Deaths. KDA is the preferred stat in team-based games like Call of Duty: Warzone and Rainbow Six Siege because it rewards players who contribute via assists, not just final blows.
What is a good KD ratio?
It depends on the game. In BGMI and PUBG Mobile a KD of 2.0 is above average and 4.0+ is pro-level. In Warzone the average is around 0.9, so 1.5 is good and 3.0 is pro. In CS2 and Rainbow Six Siege the average is 1.0 (the round economy naturally centers it at parity), so 1.3 is good and 1.8+ is pro.
How does the PUBG/BGMI Classic mode work?
In BGMI and PUBG Mobile you can die at most once per match, so the community tracks kills per match (KPM) as a classic metric alongside the season KD. The calculator's Classic mode computes KPM = Kills ÷ Matches, which is the right number when you care about per-game performance rather than cumulative season totals.
